A Ground-Up Drupal Website Build for Amphenol Alden

Amphenol Alden came to us for a website overhaul. At the time, their site was dated, weighed down by performance problems and didn’t effectively serve users.

The solution for this particular client was a complete rebuild on Drupal, a complex CMS that offers robust enterprise-level security and content scaling features — a no-brainer for Amphenol Alden, precision engineers of medical cables and assemblies. Approaching a full-site redesign is a big undertaking, but when you add in the challenges of the chosen CMS, it takes an adept team to drive success.

Undeterred by Drupal’s complexities, we started by conducting a comprehensive UX audit and stakeholder interviews to understand Amphenol Alden’s unique needs. Once we had a solid vision for the rebuild, our team of developers, UX experts and strategists set it in motion, building a 100% custom Drupal site from the ground up, including a custom medical connector configuration tool. With a streamlined design, the tool enables Amphenol Alden’s customers to build their ideal connectors quickly and easily, with custom options for circuit count, contact size, wire gauge and more.

“This project was a strong team effort, with everyone contributing effectively to deliver a successful outcome,” Aaron Neilson-Belman, senior UX & brand strategy lead at Brafton, said. “The collaboration between design, development and content teams ensured a smooth process, and the client is very satisfied with the final result.”

Since launching their brand-new site, we’ve seen:

  • 47% increase in backlinks.
  • 21-point jump in Desktop Best Practices score.
  • 90+ Accessibility score on desktop and mobile.

No matter your website needs, Brafton’s cross-functional team of designers, developers, writers and more can tackle everything from feature facelifts to complete rebuilds on today’s most popular CMS’s — even the trickier ones. Have a redesign in mind? Tell us about it!
